Case Study 8 - Tenby Junior School, Pembrokeshire (Saesneg yn unig)
Tenby School’s grounds work is supported by strong links to the local community that has enabled the school to draw upon the skills, knowledge and enthusiasm of local people and support services.
The whole school community make imaginative use of the woodland their grounds to deliver the formal curriculum. This natural classroom is used for a wide range of subjects from Science, Art & DT, English writing, Music, and Personal and Social Education. They also make the most of this valued resource for out of hours activities and as a resource for the local infant and primary school who have picnics in the nature area as part of their transition sessions.
